We loved our stay at the Hotel dei Consoli. Everyone was so helpful. I would like to thank Laura especially for arranging my birthday dinner at L'eccelenza. It, too, was wonderful. My only suggestion would be to cook the bacon a little more crisply at breakfast.

My Husbaand and I stayed at Hotel Dei Consoli for four nights over Easter April 2011.
The location is great, so close the Vatican City and a short enjoyable walk to all the other main sites (we didnt use a bus or metro once)
The room was small but perfect for a city break, clean and well maintanined.
The roof terrace is perfect for a relaxing breakfast and a bottle of wine at the end of a busy day sight seeing. The bar staff are very friendly and welcoming.
I would fully recommend Hotel Dei Consoli to any one wishing to visit Rome.
